Compassionate, thoughtful and expertly trained, Dr Ozpinar practices all areas of neurological surgery but focuses on minimally invasive spine surgery, complex spinal deformity and spinal robotics.

Dr Ozpinar earned his medical degree at Oregon Health and Science University and completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, one of the nation’s top training programs. As a graduating resident he was given the Aequanimitas award; a reflection of his humility, compassion and empathetic patient care.

After completing his chief year, Dr. Ozpinar completed a year-long fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under the direction of internationally known faculty members to further refine his spinal surgery skills. 

Dr. Ozpinar has authored numerous peer reviewed spine and neurosurgical papers.  He is a frequent presenter at national and international spine symposiums.  Dr Ozpinar’s publications can be viewed in the following Pubmed database: Alp Ozpinar – (nih.gov).

Dr. Ozpinar is an attentive listener, patient advocate, and a perfectionist. He strives to make a positive impact on each patient and improve their quality of care through both surgical and non-surgical approaches.

In his spare time, Dr. Ozpinar enjoys spending time with his family, competing in tennis tournaments, and participating in triathlons.
